Universal head units

Standard-fitment coverage for mixed parcs, from 6.86″ compacts to a 13.3″ large format.

Size-led and marque-led coverage

Universal head units fit dashboard standards rather than named cars. AUROADOR documents eight universal models: a 7/9/10-inch multi-size unit and a 6.86-inch compact (both multiple configurations), a 13.3-inch large-format unit, and six marque universals for Volkswagen, Nissan, Toyota, Jeep, Chrysler and Chevrolet GMC dashboards. Documented configurations centre on 2+32G, with CarPlay listed across the group.

Universals are the assortment answer when a market's parc is too mixed for dedicated fitments, or when a channel sells on size and price. Their risk is installation variance — dash aperture, depth and wiring differ car by car — which is why the marque tier exists: a unit shaped for a brand's common dash architecture removes much of that variance while keeping breadth.

Before assortment planning, read the DIN guide and the screen size guide — aperture standard and screen format decide which universals your market can actually install.

Specification honesty in this family

Two catalogue entries here carry a memory configuration (2+32G); the rest are documented as “multiple configurations”. That phrasing means the model is offered in more than one configuration — it does not license a listing to name one. When you build listings from this family, either write “multiple configurations” as the brand does, or confirm the exact configuration your order covers and list that. Mixing the two — a generic title with a specific configuration in the attributes — is how configuration complaints are manufactured.
